KUCHING, Feb 16: The soundtrack for TVS’ Mandarin telemovie “Missing You” is now available on all major music streaming services.
Composed by Sarawakian composer Andrew Bong, the soundtrack delivers over 45 minutes of evocative melodies, drawing inspiration from the film’s narrative and locales.
“This project is very personal to me since many of the scenes and food featured in the film reflected my upbringing.
“I want to give respect, explore the narrative and reciprocate with a new musical palette,” said Bong.
“Missing You”, premiered on TVS on Dec 17, is a poignant tale of family love and self-discovery directed by Jimz Lee, co-directed by Eean Khoo and produced by David Lim.
It follows the journey of Ah Ren – portrayed by Singaporean actor Benjamin Josiah Tan – as he embarks on his search for his long-lost sister in Sarawak.
Joined by the spirited tour guide Ah Mei – played by Sarawakian actress and singer Riona Chung – the film showcases a tapestry of emotions set against the backdrop of Sarawak’s rich culture and cuisine.
Available on Spotify and YouTube Music in over 190 countries, the soundtrack offers a glimpse into the film’s heartfelt storytelling.
