KUCHING, 7 July : British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has officially announced his resignation as the country’s leader.
But remains as a caretaker until the end of his term in October.
The decision has not warrant objections from any party, as Johnson promised a peaceful farewell when the time comes.
This is also timely for the upcoming Tory party conference, which by then a new prime minister will be elected.
Interim prime minister, as of now, has not been considered an option.
More than 50 ministers left their post in the country’s administration prior to Johnson resignation.
Elected in 2019, Johnson is one of the shortest Prime Minister to serve downing street. -TVS
