Meat has always been an essential item for a host of Muslim celebrations such as qurban, aqiqah, and many more. Back then, people used to get meat from butchers at the market or cattle breeders in the village. However, it is almost impossible to find fresh, halal, and high quality meat products for these uses and even for our daily meals. Ever since Sara-Bif existed since 1983, this is no longer a concern for Muslims in Sarawak.
