BETONG, Aug 9: Sixty cataract and seven pterygium patients from various places in Betong had recently been successfully treated for their ailments during the 15th Cataract and Pterygium Camp at Betong Hospital from Aug 5 to 6.
Known as the “Betong FirstSight Programme” , it was jointly organized by the Lions Club of Kuching Metro, the Health Ministry Cataract Clinic and the Ophthalmology Department of the Sarawak General Hospital.
Deputy Sarawak Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas who is also Bukit Saban assemblyman had again sponsored the intraocular lenses for the patients. – TVS
