KUALA LUMPUR, May 27: Synergy ESCO, a Malaysian subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Unity Group Holdings International Ltd (Unity), has launched the world’s first ESG light sets.
The ESG Light, a breakthrough in energy efficiency, consumes only 4.5 watts of power with a 180,000-hour lifespan, with up to 89 per cent in energy savings.
“The ESG Light is introduced into digital agriculture via a research initiative between Unity-UPM Sustainability Research and Development Centre and Shine Plus Group Sdn Bhd,” a statement from Unity Group and Synergy said today.
Shine Plus specialises in ESG digital farming and empowers communities to adopt sustainable living practices.
“Through this partnership, the technology will be used in Shine Plus’s smart digital farming to reduce energy use by 70 per cent, boost crop yields by 10 times, and support ESG compliance, enabling carbon tracking in food systems,” the statement said.
It said ESG Light’s lifespan and energy efficiency make it a valuable tool in carbon markets, helping businesses and developers cut emissions and earn carbon credits through verifiable emissions reductions. – TVS
