Bangladesh offers skilled workforce to accelerate Sarawak’s development

KUCHING,  July 12: Sarawak, renowned for its vast potential and aspirations for rapid development, has embarked on an innovative collaboration with Bangladesh to expedite its growth.

In a strategic move aimed at harnessing the expertise of skilled Bangladeshi professionals, the state is forging a collaborative partnership to drive its development agenda forward.

Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, Md. Golam Sawar, paid a courtesy call on Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia to discuss a collaborative partnership, expressing readiness to provide the necessary support to propel Sarawak’s progress.

“We have a pool of skilled professionals in Bangladesh, including workers, engineers, and experts in various fields.

“We are ready to support Sarawak with the required number of Bangladeshi professionals needed to accelerate the state’s development,” he told this to reporters here, today.

Sawar revealed that Abang Johari warmly welcomed the proposition, recognising its significant value, acknowledging Sarawak’s vast potential in achieving a digital economy and embracing green and clean energy.

“With aspirations to achieve a digital economy and embrace green and clean energy, the Premier expressed his appreciation.

“He told us that Sarawak is a state with vast potential, and we welcome the involvement of Bangladesh in our development journey.” added Golam.

Expressing gratitude for Abang Johari’s support, Sawar highlighted the longstanding bilateral relations between Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Sarawak.

“Bangladesh and Malaysia have enjoyed excellent bilateral relations, especially with Sarawak, we see even more avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation.

“We have observed our 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, and this meeting solidifies our commitment to further strengthen our ties,” he reiterated. – TVS
