KUCHING, Nov 19: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for P195 Bandar Kuching, Eric Tay Tze Kok has casted his vote at SK Song Kheng Hai this morning.
Eric, accompanied by his assistant, Jong Zheng Xiang arrived at the polling centre by 7:43 AM.
Based on observation, voters of all walks of life arrived at the polling centre as early as 7:30 AM.
A total of 12 channels are provided at SK Song Kheng Hai.
According to the election officer, all 31 polling centres and 220 channels for the said parliamentary seat will be opened from 7:30AM to 5:30PM.
The 15th General Election (GE15) for the Bandar Kuching seat will witness a three-cornered battle between Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate Eric Tay Tze Kok, Bersatu Sarawak Party (PSB) candidate Voon Li Shan and Democratic Action Party (DAP) candidate, Kelvin Yii.
The number of eligible voters for the Bandar Kuching Parliamentary seat is 109,710.
For the record, the Bandar Kuching parliamentary seat was won by DAP candidate Kelvin Yii for one term. – TVS
