KUCHING: The Sarawak government is committed to becoming a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) standardisation and sustainable development in the region, which is highly aligned with Sarawak’s sustainable development goals.
Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Keng Keong stressed that the application of digital technology in climate action is no longer a choice but a shared responsibility of all parties.
Speaking at the “Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability: Driving Impact through Digitalisation” forum recently, Lo Keng Keong said that Sarawak, through the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030), is determined to become a leader in smart infrastructure and green innovation, while building Sarawak into a model of technology-based sustainable development.
He pointed out that the government, industry, academia and the technology sector must work closely together to promote artificial intelligence technology and digital transformation.
Luo Keqiang also stressed that the recently signed memorandum of understanding is not only a verbal commitment, but also a sign of practical action, indicating that all parties will move forward together to promote the development of relevant fields.
“Let’s use this platform not just to talk, but to build together.”
He also expressed his confidence in the leadership of the Sarawak government, especially in promoting the application of digital technology and promoting sustainable development. He believes that Sarawak will continue to lead positive changes in the region and the world, and promote progress in the fields of digitalization and sustainable development.
