PHNOM PENH, Dec 6: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg held a courtesy meeting with Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia, Shaharuddin Onn, upon his arrival in the country.
As part of his official working visit, the Sarawak Premier and the Malaysian Ambassador discussed strategic topics regarding potential areas of collaboration between Sarawak and Cambodia.
Abang Johari is also scheduled to attend key events in Phnom Penh, including the 20th General Assembly of the Regional Islamic Da’wah Council of Southeast Asia and the Pacific (RISEAP).
This courtesy visit highlights Sarawak’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional partnerships, achieve sustainable development, and enhance diplomatic relations with neighboring countries.
Present at the meeting were Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication (Utility) Sarawak, Deputy Minister of Economy Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, Datuk Dr. Abdul Rahman Junaidi, President of the Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS) Datuk Misnu Taha, and Sarawak Mufti Datu Kipli Yassin.-TVS
