KUCHING, Nov 19: Entrepreneurs in Sarawak are encouraged to equip themselves with the knowledge and tools needed to play a vital role in shaping the region’s future economic transformation.
Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) Chief Executive Officer Udin Bujang stressed that initiatives like the Yayasan Peneraju Exchange (YPX) Sarawak Chapter are designed to help business owners, startups and aspiring entrepreneurs develop the mindset necessary for success.
“Digital transformation and innovation are rapidly reshaping our industries. The future belongs to those who can adapt, learn, and lead with vision,” he said in his closing remarks at YPX Sarawak Chapter 2024, held at the TEGAS Digital Village on Tuesday.
Bujang highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to drive innovation, create job opportunities, and enhance skill sets critical to thriving in emerging industries.
“These capabilities will be key as Sarawak establishes itself as a leader in sectors such as the digital economy, green economy, and smart city solutions,” he added.
The two-day YPX Sarawak Chapter 2024, held from Nov 18 to 19, brought together over 100 participants, including entrepreneurs, start-up founders, and Bumiputera business owners.
Themed “Yielding Potential: Accelerating Tomorrow’s Leaders,” the programme, co-organised by Yayasan Peneraju and TEGAS, aimed to empower entrepreneurs and enhance their economic competitiveness.
The event opened with a keynote address by MBSB Bank Berhad’s Group Chief People Officer, Farid Basir. Participants also gained valuable insights through Fireside Chats and an exclusive digital leadership session held on the second day. – TVS
