Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) and MAXIS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 5G enablement as part of the port's digital transformation efforts.

Bintulu Port, Maxis ink MoU for 5G-enabled port digitalisation

KUCHING, Oct 21: Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) and MAXIS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 5G enablement as part of the port’s digital transformation efforts.

The collaboration aims to enhance safety, security, environmental monitoring, and operational efficiency through innovative technologies.

The signing took place at the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2024, recently.

In the Mou exchange, BPHB was represented by its Group Chief Executive Officer, Ruslan Abdul Ghani, and General Manager of Group Information Technology, Ramzi Shafiee.

Meanwhile, MAXIS was represented by its Chief of Corporate Affairs Officer, Mariam Bevi Batcha, along with the MAXIS management team.

Also present to witness the MoU exchange was Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak, Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi. – TVS
