POZNAN, April 24: In a significant acknowledgment of Sarawak’s contributions to global sustainability efforts, Marshall of Wielkopolska Region, Marek Wozniak, emphasised the transformative power of international cooperation in advancing renewable energy initiatives.
Speaking at the Central European Hydrogen Technology Forum, Wozniak praised Sarawak’s pioneering efforts in exploring alternative energy solutions, underscoring a shared mission to transition away from traditional power and profit models towards more sustainable practices.
“This journey is crucial for humanity. As the global focus has been traditionally on power and profit, we must now address the environmental issue,” he said.
Undersecretary of State Minister of Development and Technology Poland, Ignacy Niemczycki also echoed the sentiment, highlighting the significance of collaborative efforts:
“Here in Poland, we are in a transition phase, with hydrogen playing a crucial role in our green transition.
“The government prioritizes transforming the energy sector, with the transport industry emerging as one of the most promising areas,” he added.
Both leaders expressed optimism about the future, stressing that securing a safe future for humanity remains a central theme of their discussions.
“There’s great hope for us all. By working together and learning from each other’s experiences and advancements, regions like Wielkopolska and Sarawak can lead the way in securing a more sustainable, greener future,” Wozniak added.-TVS
