HO CHI MINH, Apr 18: A variety of attractive travel destinations showcasing Malaysia’s strengths in eco-tourism were introduced at the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2024 held in Hanoi from April 11 to 14.
Themed “Tourism: Green for Sustainable Development,” the event took place at the International Center for Exhibition (ICE), highlighting responsible tourism associated with environmental protection for sustainable development.
In a recent announcement, Tourism Malaysia underscored its collaborative efforts with key stakeholders, including the Embassy of Malaysia in Hanoi, the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts (MTCP) Sarawak, Batik Air, National Association of Private Educational Institutions of Malaysia (Napei), Resorts World Genting, ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and Columbia Leisure.
“This partnership promises a blend of expertise and innovation, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all involved.
“The colorful essence of Malaysia was unveiled through performances of Sarawak Cultural Dance and Sape Performance, fun quiz activities, and Teh Tarik Tea Pulling Art by a Malaysian artisan during the four-day event.
“Visitors had the chance to experience the unique performances of Malaysian culture, tasted flavorful cuisine, and participated in activities to learn more about the country,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Nor Hayati Zainuddin, director of Tourism Malaysia in Vietnam, said VITM 2024 presented an opportunity to promote Malaysia’s rich cultural and ecological tourism offerings.
