Cigu Nadai Bisi Utai tells the story of a teacher – Halim – from Selangor who reluctantly accepts a teaching offer in rural Sarawak.
Far from the city, Halim finds himself posted to a primary school in small town of Sebuyau.
Set against the coastal villages in Simunjan, here are the top five filming locations you should visit!

1. Sebuyau Town
Located just two hours from Kuching, this small fishing village is a treasure trove for sea and river products such as the famous Terubuk Ulu Sarawak fish and Panjang fish!
Agricultural products such as coconuts are a common sight here as well.
Stroll the wooden shophouses and be welcomed by the friendly locals and enjoy the slow-paced lifestyle.

2. Kampung Lunying Waterfall
One of the hidden waterfalls in Sarawak, this waterfall is a mere 15-minute walk on foot from Kampung Lunying.
Be at one with nature and find solace from the bustling city as you surround yourself in the symphony of chirping birds, rustling leaves, and murmuring streams.
The natural wonder of Gua Layang is also located not far away from this serene waterfall.

3. Kampung Tebelu
Come visit one of the famous fishing villages in Sarawak!
This riverine village is known for its fresh seafood such as ikan gonjeng, ikan lumek and tiger prawns by the boatload.
Remember to take home dried shrimp and salted ikan gonjeng when you visit!

4. Bukit Ruai
Located in Sebuyau town, Bukit Ruai is an easy hike through Kampung Masjid.
Offering a vantage point of the town, be swept away by the idyllic nature and views of Sungai Sebuyau and the majestic Sungai Batang Lupar.
Take on the challenge of Bukit Ruai, the scenery will be worth the climb!

5. Lunying and Kelait Longhouses
What better way to get to know a place than to live with the locals?
Pay a visit to Kampung Lunying or the old longhouses in Kampung Kelait and experience the way of life of the Sebuyau Iban community!
Cigu! Nadai Bisi Utai? had the opportunity to film at each of these wonderful locations.
