WEST BANK, Jan 30: Amidst the devastation in Gaza, a shocking incident transpired in the Ibn Sina Hospital in the West Bank, where an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) ‘hit squad’, disguised as hospital personnel, infiltrated the hospital and killed three Palestinians.
According to reports by the Palestinian Health Ministry, the victims were killed early in the morning, while they were sleeping in their beds.
Director of Ibn Sina Hospital, Naji Nazzal said the Israeli troops assassinated the three martyrs, who were identified as Muhammad Jalamnah, Muhammad Ayman Ghazawi and Basel Ayman Ghazawi, using weapons fitted with silencers.
“The operation was carried out at the hospital’s rehabilitation ward where Basel Ghazawi had been undergoing treatment,” Naji Nazzal said.
On the other hand, Israel’s army claimed that Jalamnah was part of Hamas and was seeking refuge in the hospital, and labeled the other two as ‘terrorists’ who colluded with Jalamnah.
It added that Jalamnah was involved in ‘significant terrorist activity’ and was known for distributing weapons and ammunition for Hamas.
“Jalamnah planned to carry out a terror attack in the immediate future and used the hospital as a hiding place and therefore was neutralised,” the IDF stated. – TVS
