KUCHING, Dec 20: Proton Holdings Berhad has experienced an extraordinary response since the introduction of its latest sedan model, the S70.
With 4,000 bookings received, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Roslan Abdullah noted that this surge underscores the trust and anticipation customers hold for the brand, building on the success of its previous models.
“After establishing leadership in the sports utility vehicle segment with models like the Proton X50, X70, and X90, we now bring our technological prowess to a new family sedan.
“Last week, the Proton S70 made its debut in Sabah, and now, we are thrilled to extend the excitement to the beautiful region of Sarawak.
“Today marks a special occasion as we introduce a new era of driving innovation to this dynamic locale,” he said in his speech during the Proton S70 Sarawak launch event here today.
Proton unveiled the S70 compact sedan on November 28, aiming to achieve monthly sales of over 3,000 units in its initial year.
The 1.5-liter turbo S70 is available in four variants: Executive, Premium, Flagship, and Flagship X.
Deliveries are scheduled for early next year, with the Premium and Flagship variants anticipated to be the most popular choices. – TVS
