KUCHING, NOVEMBER 13: Sarawak is engaging in discussions with South Korean agencies to strengthen its digitalisation and innovation initiatives.
Sarawak’s Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications, Datuk Julaihi Narawi said the discussions encompassed global cooperation between Sarawak and agencies and companies in South Korea.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with South Korea’s Global Digital Innovation Network through SDEC in accelerating Sarawak’s digitalisation adoption by leveraging on respective strengths and expertise in numerous economic verticals.
“We also like to leverage on how South Korea developed their startup ecosystem that generates impact not only in the domestic market but globally,” stated Julaihi in a statement from Seoul today.
Julaihi highlighted the collaborative efforts involving his ministry, the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), and the Global Digital Innovation Network Korea (GDIN).
Also present were his deputy Datuk Liwan Lagang, SDEC Chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, and SDEC Chief Executive Officer Sudarnoto Osman, is currently in the country for an official visit. – TVS
