KUCHING, 24 Oct : Over 500 licensed and registered local vendors convened at PETRONAS’ inaugural Sarawak Oil and Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) Partners Day in Bintulu recently.
The event served to share the updated OGSE programmes and encouraged collaborations and partnerships through networking sessions to drive the industry forward amidst the energy transition.
PETRONAS Head of Industry Shaping and Collaboration, Group Procurement, Syaharudin Hassan said the company is committed in its ongoing efforts to improve the capability and capacity of its vendors.
“This OGSE Partners Day in Bintulu is an example of those efforts to catalyse the vendors’ growth and competency to nurture a robust OGSE ecosystem,” he said in a statement.
At the event, industry leaders and subject matter experts also shared their insights on current industry trends and best practices on matters such as vendor financing, licensing and registration, sustainability, the Punchout business-to-business (B2B) marketplace and technology.
PETRONAS said it continues to play its role in supporting the Government’s efforts to bolster the country’s economic growth.
“The collective effort from industry stakeholders, financial institutions, and Government agencies will create a supportive ecosystem that attracts, trains and retains skilled workers in the industry to ensure sustainable, long-term growth,” it added. -TVS
