KUCHING, Oct 9: In a thrilling two-day event at Sarawak Stadium, Kuching, Borneo Sonic Music Festival 2023 electrified music fans with a stellar lineup and exhilarating performances.

Day 1: An Explosion of Beats and Rhymes
CL, the celebrated South Korean artist and former 2NE1 leader, stole the show with iconic hits like ‘Hello Bitches’ and ‘Spicy’. The night brimmed with nostalgia as she performed 2NE1 classics, including ‘I Am the Best’, ‘Fire’, and ‘I Don’t Care’. DJ Hyo of Girls’ Generation showcased her versatile talents. American rapper Fatman Scoop and Taiwanese rappers Majin and 7LING kept the energy sky-high. Malaysian singer-actress Ning Baizura wowed with her soulful “Awan Yang Terpilu.” Local talents like Andi Bernadee, Guccimith, and Zhe Kamil added to the excitement.

Day 2: Taeyang’s Triumph
Day two hit a high note with Taeyang, the South Korean superstar from ‘Big Bang’. His performance featured hits like “Vibe,” “I Am,” “Inspiration,” “Only Look at Me,” “Wedding Dress,” and “Eyes Nose Lips.” He unveiled new songs “Seed” and “Shoong” featuring Blackpink’s Lisa. Taeyang connected intimately with the crowd, expressing gratitude in the local language, “Aku Cintaimu” and promising that he will be back soon. EXO’s SUHO surprised with popular EXO songs.
