KUCHING, Aug 4: Approximately 500 enthusiasts thronged the yard of the Old Courthouse in Kuching for a chance to meet the globally acclaimed South Korean sensation, Rain.
The celebrity meet-and-greet was arranged in conjunction with the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2023, which wrapped up on Friday night (Aug 4).
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-Hoon, was invited as the celebrity guest for this year’s AIFFA.
He made his entrance at the old courthouse at approximately 4pm Friday, engaging with fans in Kuching during the 2023 AIFFA Star Celebrity Meet and Greet.
His arrival was met with excitement as he mingled and posed for pictures with numerous lucky fans of various ages, representing not only Sarawak but also fans from Singapore and Brunei.
Also present during the event were both Deputy Ministers of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, Datuk Snowdan Lawan and Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yiew.
Previously, Steven Seagal, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh and Henry Golding were among the celebrity guests invited to AIFFA. -TVS
