KUCHING, Aug 4: The ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2023 serves as a testament to the state’s prowess in orchestrating large-scale events of international caliber.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, Datuk Snowdan Lawan highlighted the potential for his ministry to extend invitations to even more international celebrities to Sarawak is indeed within reach.
“This signifies that Sarawak is capable of hosting or organising such international-level programmes by bringing in big brands to Sarawak and providing opportunities for their fans to witness it live in person,” he said when met by the media after the AIFFA 2023 Star Celebrity Meet and Greet with famed South Korean artist, Rain, at the Old Courthouse, here on Friday.
Snowdan expressed gratitude to the Sarawak Government for organising the event through the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak.
Commenting on the Asia-Pacific Film Festival (APFF) 2024, scheduled for next year in Miri, Snowdan said a series of meetings will be held to discuss the details of its planning. -TVS
