KUCHING, July 31: Shell, in partnership with the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (TEGAS), has recognised and awarded five exceptional entrepreneurs from Sarawak as winners of the Shell Livewire Malaysia 2023 state-level competition.
Deputy Minister For Urban Planning, Land Administration And Environment Sarawak cum chairman of TEGAS, Datuk Len Talif Salleh emphasised the commitment of both tegas and Shell Malaysia to empower local entrepreneurs, thereby bolstering the economy, particularly in Sarawak.
This endeavor aligns with the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS) to drive progress and growth in the region.
He explained further that the Shell livewire program serves as a catalyst for talent development and community empowerment in Sarawak.
“So it is my hope that our (TEGAS & Shell Malaysia) initiative to support our local entreprenuer in the strengthen their bussiness growth.
“TEGAS remain commitment to empowering our start ups and social enterprise and we look forward to continuing our collaboration which aims to stimulate our local economy through entrepreneurship, innovation, and meaningful employment in Sarawak,” said Len during the Shell Livewire Sarawak 2023 awards ceremony at tegas digital village in kuching on Monday.
Meanwhile, the winners of the Shell Livewire Malaysia 2023 state-level competition in Sarawak are Eb Tech, Dr. Parveen Kaur, Myscripts, Pungu Borneo, and Rukun Tv.
Their businesses were evaluated based on their respective industries and the potential to develop their business ideas according to comprehensive business plans. – TVS
