KUCHING, June 4th: Level up your tertiary education plans by joining a talk for Sijil Pendidikan Malaysia (SPM) 2023 leavers, this month.
Sarawak Students Association is teaming up with Sarawak Student Initiative to guide SPM leavers on programmes offered at public and private higher-learning institutions that carter for those academically-inclined.
“The talks in Kuching and Miri will be on June 10th, while Sibu will be on June 16th. Venue and timing details will soon be announced.
“Sarawakian scholars from top universities abroad will be guiding students how to ace scholarship interviews and share the experiences abroad,” the statement said.
Speakers such as from University of Oxford, University College London and Universiti Sains Malaysia will be sharing about overseas pre-university courses, benefits, and insights into local options as well as be guiding students through the UPU application process.
“As for applying for universities overseas, alumni and current students studying abroad will share tips on cracking applications, navigating portals like CommonApp and UCAS, and uncovering financial aid secrets,” the statment added.
Meanwhile, Sarawak Students Association is also offering a three-month mentorship programme, which will provide students more support for their tertiary education application.
