KUCHING, Nov 30: iSarawakCare won the London Design Awards 2022.
Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah said the award ceremony will be held in London on December 6th 2022.
According to Fatimah, iSarawak Care bagged the prestigious award under the category of Digital Government Services.
She said the platform data design was submitted by system developer, SOCOE in July 2022 and has gone three rigorous jury exercise.
“Very prestigious award. We have informed the Premier about it and he was very happy and proud as well.
“Because previous winners who have won this award were prestigious and renowned companies like Vodafone, Sydney Government Department of Justice, IBM and Spotify,” she told a press conference after concluding her winding up speech at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN), today.
Fatimah noted the achievement was not easy as it involves inter-agencies and the systems used at state and federal level.
“If it involves one department only, it could be easier. But under iSarawak Care, it involves many departments. So there are many departments and systems used at the State and Federal level.
“Again, those are the challenges. For that reason, when it won such award, it sure is something to be proud of,” she added.
Living up its tagline of “On Click at Your Service”, the iSarawakCare portal is integrated with existing systems in Sarawak such as SarawakNet, SarawakID, State Treasury, Banks as well as Federal Government systems to ease the processes across all platform involved.
iSarawakCare mobile app has been launched by Yang Amat Berhormat Premier Sarawak on 7th March 2020. – TVS
