SPAOH, 31 Oct: Sarawakians should not be easily swayed by opposition lies, accusations, and instigations against Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidates in the upcoming 15th General Election.
Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas strongly stressed the people should ignore all forms of allegations aimed at eroding their support towards GPS.
“Let us again continue to make Betong a GPS fortress.
Let us all work hard, work smart, and think smart in making our choice.” Uggah said this here today when officiating at a course for polling and counting agents of the Betong parliamentary seat.
On Betong’s seat, Uggah again urged its voters to strongly support whosoever would be the GPS candidate.
“Let us show our appreciation and gratitude to the GPS government for appointing our Layar assemblyman Datuk Gerald Rentap and our Saribas assemblyman Mohd Razi Sitam as deputy ministers after last year state poll.
“The creation of the Betong Division Development Agency(BDDA) and its development budget of RM1.5 billion is another reason why we should rally solidly behind The GPS,” he said.
Uggah said he was confident the GPS candidate would do well in the coming poll as the voters had shown themselves to be very supportive of the GPS government.
Also present during the ceremony were Datuk Gerald Rentap, Betong incumbent Datuk Robert Lawson Chuat, and Political Secretary to Sarawak Premier Dr Richard Rapu. – TVS
