KUCHING, May 26 : A total of 72 compounds were issued between 2020 to 2022 following the violation of laws related to Totally Protected Areas (TPA) in Sarawak.
This brought to grand total of RM246,450 while 126 cases are still being investigated.
Second Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said since his ministry took charge of the management and enforcement of TPAs, the Sarawak Forestry Corporation has established the Enforcement and Protection Team (PPP).
