KUCHING, 27 Feb: The first multi-dimensional surgical imaging technology in Malaysia has been announced by Managing Director of Borneo Medical Centre (BMC) Kuching, Sarawak, Dr Peter Tang.
“The centre has always been at the forefront of medical advancement in Sarawak and is committed to providing quality healthcare services not only in Sarawak but beyond,” said Dr Tang.
“Doctors will now have access to the advanced O-Arm Surgical Imaging Technology which will be operational commencing March 2022, together with the existing surgical navigation system and the new Spinne Operating Table, following an estimated investment of RM3 million,” he said.
The Surgical Imaging System offers multi-planar 3-D visualisation in addition to 2-D fluoroscopic imaging capability.Â
The launching of the O-Arm Surgical Imaging System was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, at BMC. – TVS
