Keluarga Malaysia foundation to assist undergraduates

Putrajaya, October 29: A total of RM5 million has been allocated for the newly launched Yayasan Kebajikan Siswa Keluarga Malaysia foundation, to assist the needs of undergraduates.

Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the funds would be channeled through the Finance Ministry in ensuring the continuity of operations and for the goals of the foundations establishment.

“The Keluarga Malaysia Foundation will collaborate with all existing aid channels and foundations connected to higher learning institutions (IPT) to facilitate distribution of aid to students who need assistance,”

He said this during the virtual launch of the foundation on Ministry of Higher Education’s (MOHE) official Facebook page, earlier today.

Ismail Sabri then reminded all agencies and parties involved to expedite and allow application processes to be seamless, so that aids could be channeled immediately.

“The establishment of the foundation is yet another proof of the government’s concern for the welfare of students as state in Keluarga Malaysia’s concept of inclusiveness, togetherness and gratitude,” he added.
