The seasoned television personality has sprung back into action, now reporting for TVS from her hometown of Brunei.
Having been based in Singapore for the last 16 years as a TV presenter for FOX Sports Asia, Paula has never been this psyched to be back for her passion- the media.
Paula has since graduated from hosting entertainment-related TV shows which saw her hosting world-class sports events including the Formula One on FOX Sports which had unfortunately gone under.
Having been based in Singapore since 2002, Paula added that her experience in the media industry has also helped change her perspective about herself and things around her
The petite 47-year-old did her first debut for Jendela Global TVS last week, reporting on the current Covid-19 pandemic situation is Brunei and the lockdown there.
“However, I wish I could provide happier content for TVS and to share all about Brunei with TVS and its audience.
“Brunei has more than just stringent Syariah laws and there are many things to marvel about, interesting stories here which TVS will act as a platform for me to share with everyone out there.
“You’ll be surprised there are also yuppies and hipsters around in Brunei.. I wish to share happy stories from Brunei for TVS. For example was during the King’s 50th Birthday Celebreation a few years back.
“Of course I’m also in charge of the current affairs and breaking news here but it is something I’m not unfamiliar with,” she said when contacted.
Paula expressed hopes that followers from her younger days of being a veejay and entertainment presenter have now evolved together with her.
“I hope they still see me as the Paula they once knew but one who has matured with experience.
“Of course it takes a whole lot to detach myself from my personal emotions on issues but that comes together with being a journalist,” added Paula.
When asked if there was anything in the pipeline she wished to highlight from Brunei, Paula stressed on keeping things lighthearted and keeping news the way they are.
“I’m more than ready to be in front of the camera again, just like the good old days and I’m confident I havent gone rusty and still very tight in terms of presenting,” quipped Paula who looks up to British-Iranian journalist and television host Christiane Amanpour.
