KUCHING, 28 Sept : Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Jemut Masing has confirmed reports that he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sarawak General Hospital after being tested positive for COVID-19.
“Yes, it’s true, I’m admitted to the hospital for COVID-19,” he confirmed in a short text message.
However, when contacted by TVS, he said that his condition was improving.
“I’m feeling much better now. My coughing is better than it was two days ago,” he added.
Masing was confirmed to be positive for COVID-19 after experiencing flu- and fever-like symptoms.
For the record, he had received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
He took the opportunity to urge those who had not been vaccinated to get their vaccines. – TVS
