KUCHING, Sept 15: Individuals who are fully vaccinated will not need to undergo quarantine when entering Sarawak.
The change will come into force effective tomorrow September 16.
Currently, travellers are placed under 14 days mandatory quarantine order at designated centres set Hotel by Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), when arriving from domestic or countries permitted to enter the state.
However, new relaxed regulations require
travellers to undergo self-quarantine at home for 10 days.
As such, unvaccinated and those who have yet to complete their vaccination are ordered to undergo mandatory quarantine for 10 days at the designated centres.
The statement also noted the definition of Complete Vaccination by SDMC are; for those who had their two-shots vaccine such as Pfizer/Sinovac/AstraZaneca is consider vaccinated 14 days after the second shot; while for those who had the one-shot vaccine such as CanSino or Jansen, only applicable 28 days after of the shot.
Procedures to apply entering the state by fully vaccinated travellers; individuals would need to apply their applications via EnterSarawak.
Travel application must be filled in the eHealth Declaration Form (eHDF), with proof of being fully vaccinated attached.
Travellers will still need to take RT- PCR test pre-departure (valid for 3 days). And fill in any other relevant personal information as requested in the application.
