KUCHING, SEPTEMBER 14: S Pay Global is replacing its Sarawak Pay brand in favour of a new brand that will enhance its appeal and presence at global stage.
The changes would feature new user-friendly interface and the new lifestyle feature, apart from being in collaboration with an international financial services corporation UnionPay.
The new feature includes access to other financial services such as loan repayments and insurance donation will be available in the next (third) version update of the app.
S Pay aims to offer greater cashless convenience and better experience to its users as they have also streamlined its User App Home Screen and the User Profile/Account setting.
More lifestyle features shall be added gradually in future updates.
SiliconNet Technologies’ in a statement today, said the rebranding is in line with announcements made by Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg.
“To reinforce our branding and presence on the global and presence on the global state, it is now timely for us to rename our Sarawak Pay eWallet to S Pay Global,” said Abang Johari during the launch of Sarawak Pay international payments with UnionPay.
The company also assures its users and merchants that their money, merchant QR Codes and statements related to balance and payment history will not be affected.
No changes will be made to functions like ‘Top Up’, ‘Make Payment’, ‘Scan & Pay’ and ‘View History’ as they have stated that it is still the same eWallet account and payment pin users currently use.
As the app’s developer, SiliconNet Technologies have also renamed Sarawak Pay’s website to spayglobal.my and future email communications shall be conducted using the @spayglobal.my domain.
