Kuching, September 11: A total of 55,068 premises have been inspected throughout the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
From the total number only about 0.3 per cent or 163 premises were compounded for violating the MCO Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Act 342 as stated by the state’s Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP).
Issued compounds accumulated to a grand total of RM494,000.
The operation, dubbed as ‘OPS SAMAR’, was conducted from 13 May 2020 until 10 September 2021.
Throughout the state, more than 176 KPDNHEP enforcement officers were deployed without donning their uniforms.
To mark the end of OPS SAMAR in Sarawak, the Enforcement Director of KPDNHEP Putrajaya, Azman Adam made a personal inspection at a shopping mall here, yesterday.
