KUCHING: Sarawak continues to record four-figure cases of daily COVID-19 cases at 3,714 with 12 new deaths today.
Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said, 3,710 cases or 99.89% of the total cases were under Categories One and Two, while the remaining four cases were under Categories Three and Five with two each.
“Kuching District iwas the highest contributor of cases with 1,765 recorded followed by Samarahan with 358 cases, Sibu with 276, Bintulu 158 and Asajaya 121,” the statement said.
Death cases in Sarawak are still relatively high with most of them involving the elderly with a history of chronic diseases.
“Death cases were reported in the districts of Kuching, Pusa, Bintulu, Serian, Sibu, Song and Sri Aman,” the statement added.
