KUCHING, JULY 10: Major cities in Sarawak were in darkness as a massive power outage occurred around 9:30 pm tonight.
According to Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), power interruptions were reported across Kuching, Sibu, Betong and Sri Aman.
In a statement, SEB CEO Datu Sharbini said a double circuit tripping of Murum transmission line caused the major supply interruption.
As at 10 pm, Sharbini said the team is working to get the supply power back and the power supply is being safely restored progressively.
