KUALA LUMPUR: A special Aidilfitri aid of RM500 will be given to all civil servants on grade 56 and below, including those under a contract of service, contract for service, daily part-time officers and those appointed under MyStep, and RM250 to all government retirees, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced today.
In a statement earlier today , The PMO said that the grant is meant to appreciate the services and sacrifices of civil servants especially during this challenging period.
”The government has agreed to give a special Aidilfitri aid of rm500 to all civil servants on grade 56 and below, including those under a contract of service, contract for service, daily part-time officers and those appointed under MyStep, and RM250 to all government retirees.”
“This aid is given in appreciation of contributions and sacrifices made by civil servants in providing services to the people, especially when the country is dealing with challenging times,” the statement read.
It said that the RM500 Aidilfitri special financial assistance is for all staff in Grade 56 and below, including contract of service, contract for service, part-time officers and those under MyStep.
Meanwhile, government pensioners will receive an aid of RM250.
Additionally, the payment will be included in the next salary payment on May 6. More than two million civil servants and retirees will benefit from this grant.
